Halay, Horon, and Çiftetelli are just a few of the most famous traditional dances that are an essential part of any celebration in Turkey. These dances are more than just entertainment—together with the music, they tell stories.
In this workshop, we will show you traditional Turkish rhythms (9/8 and 7/8) for dances and songs that you can play on the frame drum. You will feel this special energy during the practical application, and we will groove together and do simple dance steps.
