Time: Frirday, 10.04.26, 3.30 - 5.30 pm
Lecturer: Tuğba Gülyeşil (Turkey)
Instruments: Bendir and other frame drums
Course Content:

Turkish singer and percussionist Tuğba Gülyeşil has been focusing on Turkish rhythms and the combination of frame drums and singing for years. She has built up a large fan base, especially in Turkey.

In this course, participants will learn several shorter and longer usuls, i.e., typical rhythm patterns in Turkish music. These will be played together and explained in more detail in practical exercises.

Tamburi Mundi participants are already familiar with the Istanbul-based musician from various online formats, so we are all the more delighted that she will now be able to attend the festival “in person” for the first time.

Course Language: English
Level: Open for all levels
