More than half of early music is dance music, which, as thousands of depictions show, was accompanied by percussion instruments. I have been researching and practising historical music from the Middle Ages to the early Baroque for more than 20 years.

This course is designed to provide an introduction to musical accompaniment with drums (frame drum, riqq, castanets, lansquenet drum) using specific examples of music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance and early Baroque. You can also bring your music wishes / notes / traditional melodies and work on them here with everyone.
