The riq is an extraordinary tambourine from the classical Arabic tradition, characterized by a very sophisticated technique and an astonishing range of sounds.

The aim of the workshop is to explore the function of the instrument both in solo and ensemble playing, where it undoubtedly plays an important role.

Andrea teaches a clear physical and mental approach that combines the language of the instrument with a curious, exploratory technical approach.
This helps you develop an awareness of the instrument that is not limited to mere virtuosity, but is deep and musical.
