Content of the course:

The main goal of this course is to have fun playing the frame drum together and to experience how powerful and inspiring drumming in a group can be!

In addition to learning basic playing techniques and simple traditional rhythms from the Middle East, we will focus on the following topics:
•    Group playing and musical interaction
•    Developing musicality and the ability to listen within the ensemble
•    Working with a simple composition that brings together all the elements covered in the workshop

The composition serves as a basis for practicing rhythm, technique, and collective “flow” in a real musical context.

Language of Instruction: English
Level: Basic = some prior knowledge in frame drum playing
