Loire Cotler is a Rhythm Vocalist with a mission to show the world the rhythmic power of the voice. She is renowned for her blazing vocal percussion solos which echo her passion for wordless vocal traditions such as niggun, taksim, jazz scat, konnakol and hoomei. Loire’s latest album 18 Wings re-imagines the Great American Songbook and features Grammy winning soloists Howard Levy, Eugene Friesen, and Glen Velez, frame drum legend who Loire has been touring with since 2002.  Loire is a core member of Glen Velez Handance Ensemble and Hans Zimmer Live band 2022-23. Her signature shape-shifting sound and unique vocal arrangements can be heard as a featured vocalist on numerous recordings, live performances, and film scores, including Robert Miller’s score for Coup53, Hans Zimmer’s Oscar winning score for Dune: Part One and James Newton Howard’s Oscar nominated score for Raya and the Last Dragon. Loire is a passionate educator and has an extensive clinical background working as a music therapist and states, “The healing power of music is the golden thread” which links all of her musical activities.
