Playing Position & Basic Techniques
In this course for Daf beginners and participant with some prior experience, England-based percussionist Sara Fotros will guide participants through the correct playing posture and hand positioning for playing the Daf. These foundational techniques ensure controlled, comfortable playing and allow for accurate execution of the special Daf-typical striking techniques. Sara will also introduce basic strokes—a first step into the captivating world of Persian rhythms.

This workshop is also ideal for returning players who would like to work on the basics of Daf playing again.
