Even after 22 years, the story of frame drum music and its multifaceted world of rhythms and sounds is far from over: What this year’s international World Percussion Festival TAMBURI MUNDI has to offer is musically diverse, incredibly multifaceted, and virtuosic—and it once again makes Freiburg a hotspot of the international frame drum scene. But even those who are simply curious or new to this instrument will find plenty of opportunities to get a taste of it and simply let themselves be carried away by the diverse rhythms.

What makes the Tamburi Mundi Festival so special?

Accessible frame drum artists from all over the world, plus its own instrument fair where you can try out and compare frame drums to your heart’s content. A shared joy in rhythm, a workshop program as rich and varied as a lavishly set table!
Festival director Murat Coskun and his team create this very special space for top-notch percussion music and intensive learning, for innovations, focused insights, humorous interludes, and full-length evening sessions. All of this makes the Tamburi Mundi Festival a unique platform for frame drum music and respectful cultural exchange.

If one of the courses or workshops is already fully booked, please send us an e-mail and we will be happy to put you on the waiting list!
