Workshop program:

The aim of this workshop is to offer the opportunity to experience 6/8 and 12/8 rhythms within the framework of the polyrhythm concept.
The idea is to imagine that the “group” takes precedence over the “individual”, that the musician is at the service of the ensemble.

In this particular workshop we will use typical North African instruments: Bendir, Gallal, Taarija...
We will work on rhythms such as the Algerian Berwali and the Moroccan Chaabi.

If time allows, we will try to work on typical hand clapping techniques and additional voices.
