In this workshop we will approach the technique and traditional rhythms of Pandero Cuadrado from Peñaparda (Salamanca, Spain). We will experience the traditional way of accompanying some dances and how to explore other rhythms from the Mediterranean region with this special instrument.

 Isabel Martín is a proven expert and sought-after interpreter of Spanish folklore due to her passionate field research in Spain and direct contact with the people who have handed down this music over the decades.

We are delighted that she will be back at the Tamburi Mundi Festival in 2025 to give us an insight into the fascinating world of Pandero Cuadrado!
