In this workshop, participants will learn to play the rhythms of Spanish folkloric music on the classical tambourine ("pandereta") and the square tambourine ("pandero cuadrado") or transfer the typical rhythms to the frame drum.The rhythms covered in this course were originally used to accompany dances and songs sung at festivals or during work.

Isabel Martín is a proven expert and sought-after interpreter of Spanish folklore due to her passionate field research in Spain and direct contact with the people who have handed down this music over the decades.

Isabel has new songs for the 2025 festival! Anyone who has already attended a Tamburi Mundi workshop with her is in the right place, as are curious people who want to get to know Iberian songs and rhythms for the first time.
