WORKSHOP OF INITIATION TO 'BALLO SUL TAMBURO' (TAMMURRIATA)
The tammurriata, or "ballo 'ncoppa' o tammure" (dance on the drum) comes from Campania. It is based on a binary rhythm, on which the dancers in couple (mixed or not), move according to a circular scheme and an intense dynamics of the hands, arms, and bust.
The purpose of the workshop is to transmit the basic steps of this traditional dance, the dynamics, the relation with the drum and between the dancers, being based mainly on the "agro nocerino sarnese" style.
