Lecturer: Berkant Çakıcı
Instruments: Frame drums, darbuka, riqq, ... and other percussion instruments.
Content of the course: Berkant shows in this workshop some well-known songs from Turkey. Furthermore, he conveys important rhythms of Turkish music (like the 5, 7 and 9 rhythms) and their application on the drums. In the interaction of percussion and singing, one can dive into the happy- melancholic atmosphere of Turkish music.
