This workshop will explore the composition Edelweiß in a group formation.

This composition is comprised of basic patterns that are played in unison or in "counterpoint" fashion focusing on ensemble expression and musicality in a "Sufi state of mind". The composition explores creative flexibility in arrangement (instruments and form), as well as space for individual improvisation within the group.

Whether as a performer or as a teacher in various formats, the objective of this workshop is to open the ensemble ears to playing as a group in a 3 dimensional sphere in rhythm and musical dialog.
