|Content of the course:||
The Turkish percussionist Berkant is meanwhile one of the most famous darbuka and riqq players of Russia. He will focus in his workshop on Turkish rhythms (9/8, 10/8, 5/8 etc.). He will show how use the rhythms creatively and with many ornamentations and variations. He will also introduce his own personal style and his own technics that he developed during the last years. Also he will show some small examples on the Doholla and on the Talking Drum. The Talking Drum is traditionally an African instrument which is played with a stick. Berkant is usung a special finger technic and creates a special sound and groove.

|Level:||Medium = Good precognition and a solid experience in frame drum / darbuka playing. Beating techniques and a good rhythmical practise should be existing.|
