On the basis of large renovation-work in our festival-location - E-Werk Freiburg, we are forced to postpone the fifth international festival for frame drums, (which was planned for the 1st - 8th Aug 2010) by one year. However, summer 2010 in Freiburg will not be completely "frame drum-free", because we are alternatively organizing the `Tamburi Mundi MINI-EDITION ´ from August 4th - 8th in the
MINI-EDITION –this means, loyal Tamburi friends and of course also beginners can deepen their frame drum techniques, satisfy their frame drum passion and can experience the magic of frame drum music.

The Tamburi Mundi concerts will take place on:
Wednesday, 4.8.2010 - Opening-concert- Samul Nori Ensemble Noreum Machi from Korea
Thursday, 5.8.2010 - Les haulz et les bas
Friday, 6.8.2010 - Night of frame drummers
Saturday,7.8.2010 - Final-concert - Tamburo Mundi Trio & Surprise
and Sunday, 8.8.2010 - Familyconcert
all in the `Wodan Halle´, Freiburg.
COURSE OFFER
For this reason approximately 30 courses will be offered. The levels range from absolute beginner courses to master courses.
The participants can visit courses for different kinds of frame drums or playing styles and also learn about traditional playing styles and newer rhythmic possibilities on traditional instruments.

COURSE LEVELS
For frame drummers of different playing experience different course levels have been arranged. Basically the courses are labelled with their respective level, i.e. it is important to consider the extra noted levels and conditions for a certain course when making an individual course selection. As assistance and orientation, the levels on all overviews will be differently represented by colours:
BASIC (red text): In these courses fundamental playing techniques and rhythms will be taught on popular frame drums. They're aimed towards musicians and percussionists with no or very little frame drum experience.
Instruments will be provided if necessary.
MEDIUM (green text): These courses are aimed at frame drummers with a good deal of previous knowledge (should have basic beat techniques and previous rhythmic experience).
Instruments will be provided if necessary.
ATELIER (white text): The Ateliers are overlapped levels. These are courses in which various aspects of rhythm, movement and language (for eg. bodypercussion, frame drum + song etc.) will be demonstrated.
MASTERCLASS
According to our experience, the interests of the Masterclass students are very individual and different, TAMBURI MUNDI offers no set courses but would like to cater for the desires of the Masterclass students as much as possible. Students will make inquiries to teachers and courses will be arranged according to the demand. For all festival participants there is the additional possibility of organizing private lessons with a desired teacher.
